The State Government has unveiled a new draft 40-year blueprint for the future of the New South Wales transport systems.
The plan focuses on better regional connections and customer-focused, technology-driven services.
The Future Transport 2056 Draft Regional Strategy outlines improvements to the network over the coming decades.
The plan also emphasizes the importance of improving access to ports as well as regional inter-connectivity.
Some of the projects identified for investigation in regional NSW include upgrading and sealing major roads like the Sturt Highway, with better connections between small regional communities and larger regional centres.
Locals across the South West region are being urged to give feedback on the plan.
Residents have until 3rd December 2017 to view and comment on the Future Transport 2056 Draft Regional Strategy at future.transport.nsw.gov.au
