The National Asthma Council is highlighting the importance for asthma sufferers of actively managing their condition and speaking with their GP.
It comes after new figures revealing there was an increase in asthma-related deaths in Australia last year.
455 people died due to asthma related cause in 2016.
The study has found women aged over 65 years old are the most at risk.
Chair of the National Asthma Council Dr Jonathan Burdon says it’s a reminder to keep up to date.
