Thieves appear to be targeting unlocked vehicles in residential areas motels and caravan parks, with valuables taken from four unlocked cars over the weekend.
A Samsung mobile phone was taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a McKendrick Avenue address.
A wallet with credit cards and $40 was taken from a car at a Deakin Avenue premises; with another wallet and sunglasses taken from an unlocked vehicle in a separate instance.
Thieves broke into a residence on San Mateo Avenue, and it's believed the perpetrators found the keys to a 1999 Holden Commodore.
The car was stolen and involved in a hit and run with a parked vehicle.
