70,000 NSW students begin the HSC!

It’s a nervous time for 1067 year 12 students across the Murray region who’ll be sitting down for the first of their written HSC exams today.

Heads down from 10:20 am for the first exam, students ready to tackle English Paper 1, Advanced, Standard and ESL.

They'll take on Paper 2 tomorrow.

This year also marks 50 years since the first HSC exam was held.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian is extending her well wishes congratulating all students on getting to this final stage and saying that whatever path they choose, the New South Wales Higher School Certificate is highly respected across Australia and overseas.

Education Minister Rob Stokes has also offered a piece of advice, saying while this is the last leg of your 13 year school journey, remember at the end of the day it’s just an exam.
