Big Wet Hits Coastal South West

Now Let's Send It To The Farmers

Article heading image for Big Wet Hits Coastal South West

After a very dry start to winter, maybe a sign of things to come with a fair old drenching overnight around parts of the South West and Perth Metro area.

Perth got the most in the 24 hours to 9am this morning, with 61.2mm falling.

The busy winery town of Wilyabrup picked up the most in the South West with 40.2mm, while Vasse, Bunbury Dardanup and Capel also picking up over 30mm.

The rain is expected to clear away across the rest of the morning, then partly cloudy for this afternoon.

However, there's still a little bit more rain and possible thunderstorm activity expected.

Let's just hope that our farmers in the Wheat Belt can grab some of this rain as well...
