Blackbutt, Nanango and Murgon will all benefit from the new Town Entry Treatments developed by the State Government.

Main Roads Minister Mark Biley says the project is being rolled out across the state thanks to $4.7 million being invested in the targeted road safety program.

"Keeping each and every Queensland community safe is our number one priority.

"And it’s innovative projects like this that ensure we are getting locals safely home and tourists safely to their destination." - Mark Bailey

New signs and lines will alert drivers that they entering a new town and need to reduce their speed.

It comes as South Burnett residents continue to call for roads to be up-graded in hot spots across the region.
