South Burnett Regional Council Forced to Sell Land

To help ease budget pressure

South Burnett Regional Council Forced to Sell Land

Properties and vacant land are going under the hammer as the South Burnett council try to reduce budget pressures.

Land will be auctioned off over the next few months including a vacant block on the corner of the Mundubbera-Durong Rd and Chinchilla-Wondai Road.  The land was previously used as tick clearing dip stockyard and a truck rest area.

Property portfolio holder Councillor Terry Fleischfresser said there was a need for fuel at the intersection, and he wanted to see someone build a fuel cell situated on the land.

It's expected if there are no buyers, the properties and land will be leased.
