Wide Bay MP (and former police officer) Llew O’Brien would like to see South Burnett residents jump on board the latest “Dob In A Dealer” Program in bid to help clean up the streets.

The Government will tip in another $1 million toward the campaign, which is run by Crime Stoppers Australia.

Mr O’Brien says it's a good way for the public to remain anonymous and tip off Police about known drug dealers in the area.

The suggestion comes as recent reports show that ICE use in regional area, like the Burnett are causing massive problems not only affecting users but their families also.

During 2016 in Queensland, Crime Stoppers received more than 17,000 drug-related information reports, including more than 5200 amphetamine-related reports.

This resulted in 600 arrests and the seizure of more than $1 million worth of drugs.
