More police patrolling, an appointed inspector and youth programs are all on the list of the Queensland Police in Murgon and Cherbourg.

Queensland Police are making it known that they've listened to the community and are doing everything they can to reduce crime in the region.

The move has been implanted as youth crime continues to be an issue for the community with a recent rock throwing incident that involved a group of locals last month of concern.

At risk youth offenders will also be worked with to stop future crime from taking place with programs being implemented to get them into different activities and out of the crime cycle.
