Detectives have charged four boys following an alleged dangerous driving incident which eventually ended in Cherbourg yesterday afternoon.

It is alleged that between the 21st and 22nd of July, a Nissan Qashqai station wagon was stolen from a Montserrat Place address at Forest Lake.

At approximately 2pm yesterday, the vehicle was witnessed travelling through the Yarraman and Nanango Divisions towards Kingaroy.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle on the Bunya Highway as the vehicle travelled through Tingoora, Wondai and Murgon however, it is alleged the driver failed to stop for police.

At about 2.30pm, police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Cherbourg Road with the vehicle coming to a stop at the intersection of Cherbourg Road and Stan Mickelo Drive.

It is alleged four boys ran from the vehicle who were taken into custody a short time later.

A 17-year-old Cherbourg boy is charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, receiving tainted property, possess utensil and obstruct police.

A 15-year-old Inala boy is charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, receiving tainted property, unlicenced driving, obstruct police and two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

A 13-year-old Inala boy is charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, receiving tainted property and obstruct police.

A 13-year-old Inala boy is charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter and commit indictable offence, stealing, obstruct police and threatening violence.

A police officer received a minor injury to his forehead during the search for the boys.
