Detectives from Kingaroy Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 20-year-old man with trafficking a dangerous drug and possessing property offences.

Police will allege the man was supplying quantities of cannabis in the South Burnett area over a seven-month period.

He is expected to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3.

Southern Police Region Crime Co-ordinator, Detective Acting Superintendent Paul Hart said the apprehension of this man has come about as a result of increased policing activities across the South Burnett.

“The community have really come on board with our policing initiates aimed at reducing personal and property crime in the Burnett,” Detective Acting Superintendent Hart said.

“We will continue to act on information provided by the community and actively target offenders who engage these sorts if activities in our region”.

Investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
