Kingaroy Mum, Fiona Simpson hit the headlines last week for her actions during the devastating storm that tore through the region, when she used her body as a human shield to protect her baby from being pelted by the enormous ice rocks that fell from the sky.

Ms Simpsons car was damaged during the storm when she driving to Kingaroy last Thursday, smashing the windscreen and leaving large dents on her vehicle.

RACQ have come to her rescue and yesterday presented Fiona with a brand new car.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has also recommended that Ms Simpson be nominated for a 'Bravery Award' for her actions.
