A Nanango man is facing assault charges following a rage-fueled incident over the weekend.
Police allege they were called out to a disturbance on Kingaroy Cooyar Road Saturday over an incident between the 33-year-old and a 29-year-old Kingaroy woman.
When arriving they noticed a Holden utility that was missing its bonnet - the battery had been thrown across the highway and the interior was damaged.
It is believed the man assaulted the woman after the vehicle ran out of fuel. The victim was driven away by a passing witness after she tried to take refuge in the car.
