Dangerous South Burnett Intersection Upgrades Due to Wrap Up

Roadworks on a dangerous intersection in the South Burnett are about to wrap up opening to motorists later this month.

The Bunya Highway, Taylors Road and Meirers Road intersection upgrade project was granted funds under the ‘black spot’ program.

Over $600,000 has been granted from the federal government to add more turning lanes and improved general safety at the intersection.

Mayor Keith Campbell says it will be completely open to motorists in less than 2 weeks and that he will continue to lobby the government for even more funding to repair dangerous roads.
