As Emergency Services continue the clean-up after yesterday’s damaging storms ripped through the South Burnett, politicians are doing their bit to help those in need.

Nanango MP Deb Frecklington and Minister for Agriculture David Littleproud have been out visiting the worst hit areas across the region.

Yesterday's storm saw a tornado tear through Tansey, with large hail stones the size of tennis balls falling in Kumbia, Proston and Murgon.

The hail destroying crops with damaging winds pulling trees from the ground and heavy rain causing flash flooding.

Deb Frecklington says the storm cells have caused so much damage to the region and community with a long recovery effort ahead of them.
