There's A Community Auskick Day In Griffith This Weekend!

Plant the seeds of love for AFL in our Griffith Indigenous kids this Saturday!

Deakin University and the AFL are hosting a free event in Griffith, giving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children the chance to try out NAB AFL Auskick. The initiative is part of Deakin's AllPlay Footy program, which offers Auskick as a safe and fun activity for all kids to participate in.

AllPlay creator, and Director of the Deakin Child Study Centre, Professor Nicole Rinehart specifically encouraged children with developmental challenges (such as emotional needs, autism and ADHD) to attend the event, stating that according to research, events like these "are an important stepping-stone for children of all abilities to engage in organised sport". 

The AFL Community Day is happening this Saturday from 11:30am at the West End Sports Stadium, followed by a free barbecue and goodie bags!
