Leeton Shire Library's ANZAC Display Is Currently On Show

Leeton Shire Library have opened their ANZAC Display, "From Fathers to Soldiers: They served with pride", to the general public until May 26.

Leeton Shire Council Library Assistant Jo Pianca said this display is to commemorate the service and sacrifices of Leeton military servicemen and women across all conflicts in the last 100 years.

“A selection of service men and women who have lived in the Leeton Shire were researched. A pro-forma for the display was developed and the stories behind the individuals explored and documented.

The research techniques developed will form the basis of training modules and information leaflets for the community. The information will be held at the Leeton Library for all to access.”

The display has been funded by the NSW Government in association with Leeton Shire Council. It was made possible by the Aboriginal Lands Council, Leeton Family and Local History Society and members of the Leeton community.

You can see the ANZAC Display during library hours until Saturday 26th May.
