The NSW Government is proposing reforms to the management of water as part of the Water Reform Action Plan.
It is a key component in the Government delivering on its responsibility to ensure there is an equitable and transparent approach to the management of our water for current and future generations.
As part of the water reforms, consultation papers have been released for community feedback.
Three of these are particularly relevant to our area – Water take measurement and metering, Transparency measures, and Better management of environmental water.
A series of consultation sessions are being held, with a session scheduled for Griffith on 6 April at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
This an opportunity for people to voice their concerns about the mechanisms for the management of water.
