Griffith residents are being invited for two days worth of community consultation on the progress of the $35 million Stage 1 Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment.

The drop-in sessions will be hosted jointly by Murrumbidgee Local Health District and Health Infrastructure and gives local residents to drop by and find out where the project is up to.

The Project Team will be available at these times and locations:

  • Friday 10 August (11am to 3pm) at the Griffin Plaza near Coles Supermarket
  • Saturday 11 August (9.30am to 12pm) Banna Avenue Kiosk – corner of Banna Avenue and Kooyoo Street

Early works have started and the new renal dialysis building is due to be completed this year.

The Project Team will include representatives from Griffith Base Hospital, MLHD and Health Infrastructure.

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Director Strategy and Planning Marianne Warren said this gives the community a chance to ask the Project Team questions.

“We have listened to the community, who gave us feedback at the July Business Breakfast meeting on where we should hold the next community consultation,” Ms Warren said.

“This is a chance to meet the Project Team, ask them about the project and for them to answer any questions you may have.”
