Rain dancing has been replaced with slime dunking as Riverina residents hope to find some relief from the drought at the Burcher Bust the Dust Day.

The Family Fun Day will raise funds for Riverina charities Country Hope and Riverina Blue. It’s set to inject some fun into the lives of farmers suffering from the drought.

The event will be jam packed with live music, auctions, jumping castles, a BBQ, and even SLIME DUNKING of local and regional identities including Bland Shire Councillor Murray Thomas. If you don't know what slime dunking is, take a look at this...

Other slime victims will be Howard Manglesdorf (West Wyalong Lions Club), Donna Jones (West Wyalong Country Hope), Stephanie Muir (WIN TV Wagga), Jeremy Frost (Prime TV Wagga), Chris Wilson (Riverina Bluebell) and Ross Harmer (West Wyalong Movies).

The event will be held this Saturday 4thAugust from 11am at the Burcher Hotel.
