Women's Big Bash lands in Wagga

In the Women’s Big Bash, Sydney Thunder Captain Alex Blackwell isn't concerned about the loss of Harmanpreet Kaur, confident they have a well-balanced side heading into the top of the table clash with Adelaide.

It's likely the ladder leaders will debut their new English import for the matches in Wagga tomorrow and Sunday, announcing the signing of Fran Wilson just this week.

Meantime, the Adelaide Strikers Women’s Big Bash side arrived in Wagga yesterday.

Suzie Bates has told Fairfax she believes their performance at the crease will be the key for the Strikers, who are coming off the back of a winning double against Perth in Alice Springs.

Play gets underway at Robertson Oval at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, entry is free.
