Wagga residents urged to donate blood

Especially O-Negative

The Red Cross Blood Service has put out an urgent call for people with O-negative blood to make a donation, as their reserve dips to just two days' supply.

An extra 4,500 O-negative donors are needed this month, which equates to 100 just here in Wagga, to help boost stocks back up to normal.

The winter cold and flu season is staring to have an impact on stocks overall too, with a number of regular donors having to cancel their appointments.

Wagga residents can drop into the Donor Centre on Berry Street, call 13 14 95, or visit the website.
