The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party have revealed their candidate for the Wagga by-election.

Seb McDonagh wasted no time kicking off his campaign, accusing the State Government of overcharging drought-affected farmers in excess of $30 million for vehicle registration across the past 20 years.

Mr McDonagh’s demanding the money be paid back before we have any more big ticket election promises.

The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party says the Government knows a concession for heavy vehicles in primary production has not been applied by Roads and Maritime Services, but has not done anything about it.

Meantime, the Greens have entered the race for the seat of Wagga, confirming Ray Goodlass as their candidate ahead of polling day on September 8.

The retired drama lecturer and former Deputy Mayor is a seasoned campaigner, having contested several elections, both federal and state, for the Greens over the past 18 years.

Mr Goodlass has told Nine News Riverina says this by-election presenting an opportunity to put a huge dent in the Liberals' "all too comfortable" majority in the seat.
