Two Hospitalised After Glider Crash

Two men competing in a World Gliding Championships race have walked away with only minor injuries,after their gliders crashed at an altitude of 5000 feet near Yerong Creek on Saturday.

The 34 year old German man and 54 year old from Queensland jumped out of their gliders after the collision, and parachuted to the ground.

The 34 year old man is believed to have a broken ankle, while the 54 year old man suffered minor injuries to his back.

Both were taken to Canberra hospital, treated and released.
