'Teething Problems' Being Addressed at Lake Albert

Wagga City Council says it’s working with the Committee 4 Wagga and Green Frog Systems, to address some ‘teething problems’ with the Lights for the Lake project.

It follows a number of complaints that some of the lights that stretch around Lake Albert’s five-and-a-half kilometre walking track haven’t been working properly.

Manager of Project Operations, Bruce Sheridan says there are a number of reasons why this has been happening, including the weather, and also the high amount of traffic from walkers and cyclists.

Mr Sheridan says the lights are programmed to come on and turn off at certain times, and are also set to dim and brighten when movement from a pedestrian or cyclist is detected.
