Rural crime investigators in the Riverina are appealing for information from the public, after the theft of nine Angus steers worth more than $14,000 from the Bulls Run Station at Currawarna.

Officers say the padlock on the gate was cut sometime between 5pm last Thursday and 7am Friday, and they received information that 15 steers were on the road, these were returned to the property.

A count of the livestock in the paddock was conducted and nine are missing, the steers are around 380 kilograms, and have NLIS and management tags of varying colours, and all have a small triangle punch hole in the offside ear, horizontal to the NLIS tag.
