Regional Development Australia Riverina says it’s time for city-dwellers to pack up and move, with the call coming as the country’s population hits 25 million.

RDA Riverina Chief Rachel Whiting says there are concerns over whether our cities can cope with the increasing pressure on infrastructure, and she believes our region is a clear solution.

Ms Whiting says we are fit for the future, we have jobs, space, infrastructure and funding for community investments, so it’s time people who are fed up with the city reconsider their choices.

With an estimated population of around 170,000 people, the Riverina is home to 2.2% of the population of NSW, compared to 65% in Sydney.
