Police Call For Opinions on Liquor Licence for Pizza Shop

Wagga’s Licencing police are seeking community feedback on a proposal from a local pizza shop to acquire a liquor licence, allowing them to sell liquor to take away and home-deliver from their store.

Officers say if such a license were to be granted it would include strict conditions, in this instance it would include a limit to the amount of alcohol allowed to be supplied at any one time, to one bottle of wine, or a six pack of beer or cider.

The delivery driver would also have to be aged over 18, and have a Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.
