An investigation by Charles Sturt University into the distribution of racist images following a student party in Wagga last month has concluded, with misconduct penalties issued to a number of students involved.

The penalties range from exclusion to suspension, including a requirement to complete the University’s Indigenous Australian Cultures, Histories and Contemporary Realities subject, and to engage with the Indigenous and Jewish communities.

Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann says the University will work with the students during their suspension to further educate them on the cultural impact of their actions, adding that all have shown remorse and have been offered ongoing counselling and support.
