New Report Sheds Light on Sexual Harassment at University

Charles Sturt University has vowed to redouble its efforts to reduce sexual harassment and sexual assault on its campuses, off the back of a disturbing new report from the Human Rights Commission.

39 universities participated in the study, which found overall, one in five enrolled students had been sexually harassed in a university setting, and women were twice as likely as men to have been victimised last year.

At CSU, 18% of the 803 students who participated in the survey had been sexually harassed at uni, and 3.3% had been sexually assaulted.

More information on help and support available to CSU students and staff is available it's dedicated website, Respect.Now.Always.
