NSW Labor Leader Luke Foley was in Wagga yesterday, spruiking the party’s promise of new nurse-to-patient ratios, which he says will bring nursing numbers at Wagga Base Hospital up to the same level as those in big city hospitals.

Mr Foley, who was joined by Labor’s Wagga by-election candidate Dan Hayes, says the new policy will provide specific ratios of nurses to patients in medical and surgical wards, which will benefit both patients and our local nurses.

He says the Liberals have held the seat of Wagga for over 60 years and have taken it for granted.
