A local tradition will mark the official start of the festive season tomorrow, with around 250 motorbikes setting off for the Wagga Toy Run.

It's aiming to ensure underprivileged kids have something to smile about this Christmas.

The bikes will gather at the Jubilee Oval car park tomorrow, ready to set off from 9am, stopping at parks all around the suburbs before finishing up at the Civic Centre for a sausage sizzle, raffles and a charity auction.

Organiser Pat Combs says at the end of the day they'll hand over the donations to St. Vincent De Paul and the Salvation Army.
