A couple of our region’s tourism businesses have earned recognition at the Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards, held in Deniliquin over the weekend.

Wagga’s Food I Am took out Gold in the Excellence in Food Tourism category, while Bundyi Cultural Tours won the top gong in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism.

Tumut River Brewing Co also picked up a bronze award in the Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category.

Regional Tourism Awards Chair Jane Barnes says this year’s finalists were of a high calibre, with a number of first-time entrants on the list.

Businesses from the Murray region dominated, taking out Gold in 11 of the 14 categories
