Forestry Boost For Our Timber Towns
State Pine Plantations Increased
The Forestry Corporation has significantly expanded its holdings around timber towns like Tumut and Tumbarumba, adding about 7,000 hectares of pine plantation and plantable area.
The added area is equivalent to 13,000 football fields.
It’s part of the government’s plan to drive growth in the industry, and provide a renewable supply of timber into the future.
