Energy and water provider complaints are up in the Murrumbidgee
11% rise last financial year
Complaints made by Murrumbidgee region residents about energy and water provides increased by 11 percent last financial year, with billing and affordability issues accounting for the majority of them.
That's according to a new report released this morning.
534 complaints were lodged with the Energy and Water Ombudsman from our region, citing things like high bills, estimated bills and billing errors, as well as payment difficulties and disconnections.
The report also highlighted a 3 percent increase in complaints related to customer service, it was mentioned in 45 percent of all complaints from our region.
