Daryl Maguire released a video statement, saying he will not resign as Member for Wagga, intending to stay on until the March election.

The video was released yesterday in the wake of damaging evidence that came to light during a hearing of the Independent Commission against Corruption, which resulted in Mr Maguire’s resignation from the Liberal Party and from his position as Parliamentary Secretary.

In the statement, which has since been taken down, along with Mr Maguire's Facebook page, the MP says he had already planned not to contest the March election, citing the cost to taxpayers of a by-election as a reason for remaining until then.
