A 50 year old man has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital after colliding with a Toyota Hilux while riding a bicycle in Tumut last night.

Police say it happened at about 8pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Tumut Plains Road and East Street, and treated the man at the scene, before he was taken to Tumut hospital.

The driver of the Hilux, a 19 year old man, was not injured, but was also taken to Tumut Hospital for mandatory tests.
