An $11.7 million cycle network in Wagga is one step closer to becoming a reality, with Councillors formally approving the 10 cycle links to connect the CBD and suburbs at last night's meeting.
Over 250 formal submissions were received for the plan, in addition to feedback noted at meetings and drop-in sessions with the community and stakeholder groups.
Mayor Greg Conkey says concerns expressed by residents have been taken into account in the revised paths.
The next step is for the recommended links to be presented to the state government
Ongoing consultation will continue with residents adjacent to the routes, during the design and construction phases.
