Wagga’s Breastscreen service will be moving to a new home in the centre of the city, to allow better access for those at risk of breast cancer.

BreastScreen NSW will move from the Calvary Health care campus to a shopfront in Berry Street early next year, with Director Debbie Lattimore saying they hope the highly visible presence downtown will motivate more women aged between 50 and 74 to be tested.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer in women in NSW, with one in eight women developing the disease by the age of 85.
