A social media campaign protesting Wagga City Council’s proposed garbage collection changes has attracted plenty of attention, with more than 20 thousand views in its first 24 hours.

Founder of The Wagga Ratepayers Community, Wes Fang, says the campaign calling on residents unhappy with Council’s plan, to mark their bins with an 'X' and put them out, has grown faster than any of their previous posts.

Mr Fang says it highlights the deep unhappiness ratepayers have for the changes, which would see the general waste bin collected fortnightly, instead of weekly.
