Bike sharing services aren't new in the world, but they're new to Perth and the first trial of such a service is about to take place in Joondalup.
Perth-based company Urbi is implementing the trial in Joondalup, meaning that commuters will be able to pick up a bike and helmet from one location and drop it at different destination.
A single ride with helmet will cost $3, but the more you ride, the cheaper it becomes.
Reports are that the man behind Urbi, Adrian Lee, has studied a few of these services around the world to see which model fits #Perth best. Here's hoping it works out because the idea of bike-sharing is one we see having a bright future in our little city.
