The deputy principal of Busselton Senior High School was rushed to hospital yesterday after he was allegedly attacked by a student.
The 50-year-old was asking the boy to leave the school grounds when he was allegedly punched.
The incident is one of two that took place yesterday, which saw students attack teachers at the school.
“A short time later, there was a second incident involving a different student who tried to physically hurt another staff member,” a spokeswoman has stated.
“Police are investigating the two incidents.
“The two students have both been suspended from school for the maximum of 10 days, and may face being removed from the school permanently.
“The staff member who was assaulted has had medical treatment ... and is being offered the school’s full support.”
The attacked teacher has since been released from hospital.
This incident comes just weeks after a boy suffered facial injuries when he had his head stamped on by another student at the same school.
