Two people are seriously injured following a crash on the Pacific Highway at Charlestown early this morning.
A Subaru WRX lost control at high speed, swerving through the Metro service station and narrowly missing petrol bowsers.
The car then slammed into a parked Mercedes 4WD in a carport.
The 24 male driver and a 32 year old female passenger were rushed to John Hunter Hospital - where they remain in a serious but stable condition.
A second passenger - a 22 year old man - was treated for minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.
Police have confirmed the car was stolen.
