Police are asking the public for help in tracking down a man who hasn't been seen since approaching a young girl in March.
He allegedly pulled up at the 10-year-old's bus stop on Maize Street and told the girl he'd been sent by her father to pick her up and take her to the shops.
The girl immediately ran home and raised the alarm.
The accused is described as being of Caucasian appearance, mid 30's to early 40's, with short brown hair, a tattoo of a skull or similar on his neck and was wearing an orange t-shirt with red shorts.
He was driving an older model, red sedan.
If anyone has information, they're being asked to make contact with Port Stephens-Hunter Detectives on 4934 0280 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
