Sea Of Motorbikes To Honour Hannah

Motorbike riders are needed to help commemorate the life of Kurri Kurri High School student Hannah Rye.

The 15-year-old - who melted hearts after she was chaperoned to her school formal by Knights star Trent Hodkinson - sadly lost her battle with cancer on Sunday.

Monica Halliday from charity Fight for Connar says Hannah wanted a sea of motorbikes to take her to her final resting place, and work has kicked off to make that happen.

"We're looking for any motorcycle enthusiasts that would like to meet at Cameron Park on the 1st of September to escort Hannah on her final journey to her final resting place."

"It's a sign of respect and a formal occasion."

Riders will take off from the Cameron Park Industrial Estate at around 1.20pm on September 1 and will need to dress appropriately.

The service itself will take place at Ryhope Memorial Park at 2.20pm.
