Patient Tries To Stab Hunter Paramedic

The 37yo is expected to be charged.

A man's accused of trying to stab a paramedic who was treating him at Lemon Tree Passage.

Paramedics were called to a home in John Parade at 10:40pm Saturday night, and approached the 37 year old to medically examine him.

They told him he'd need to be taken to hospital for further treatment, however he became agitated and uncooperative.

It's claimed the man then grabbed a knife and swung it at one of the paramedics.

Police arrived and found the man had locked himself in a garage.

He eventually came out and was taken to the Calvery Mater Hospital under police guard.

The paramedic wasn't physically harmed during altercation.

The man is expected to be charged when he's released from hospital.
