Newcastle Uni Student Robbed At Knifepoint

A student's been the victim of a terrifying robbery at the University of Newcastle, ordered to withdraw money from an ATM at knife point.

The 18 year old was threatened by two people as he walked towards Warabrook Train Station just before 8:30pm Thursday night.

The man and woman took his wallet and phone before taking him to the cash machine.

Police say the pair fled on foot, while the victim was left shaken but uninjured.

The male offender has been described as aged in his late 30s or early 40s, solid build, with short hair and a beard.

The female offender has been described as being aged in her late 20s to early 30s, with dark hair, and wearing a dark coloured hoodie.
