Four men are likely to be charged over an armed robbery and police pursuit spanning parts of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
It's alleged a group of armed thieves entered a hotel on Maryland Drive in Maryland at around 10:30pm last night before demanding cash.
The men then took off in a black Holden Commodore - which was spotted by officers shortly after.
Police chased the car to Rayford Street, Warners Bay before its occupants took off on foot.
A police dog unit eventually tracked down and arrested four men aged 24, 25, 26 and 30.
The two youngest accused are under guard in the John Hunter Hospital.
