Girl Injured In Port Stephens Quarry Accident Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service

A teenage girl has survived falling 10 metres at a Port Stephens quarry.

Emergency services were called to the quarry off Diemars Road at Salamander Bay on Saturday afternoon.

The 17 year old girl suffered lower back injuries after falling onto rocks.

She was treated at the scene, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter in a stable condition.
