A driver has been done twice for high range drink driving in Merewether.
Police pulled over a man on Windsor Street who was driving erratically last night.
He was given a roadside breath test, where it's alleged he blew .210.
The 57-year-old was charged with high-range drink driving and had his licence suspended on the spot, but it's then claimed he got back in his car and began to drive off.
An officer rolled across the bonnet of the man's vehicle before he finally pulled up on Caldwell Street.
He's then blown high-range for a second time and was charged, but this time he was also charged for driving while suspended.
The man will face Newcastle Local Court next month.
